The return of Johnnytshirts

I know I do not have many followers and I am sorry for not posting anything in quite a while. In the past few years I have overcome a bout with Cancer along with some other trials and tribulations. When I was diagonosed I freaked a little. But with a positive attitude and some perseverance I am on the brink of being considered cured. As of today, I will be posting things that we all like, Great cars, planes and other vehicles. I will try to post on a more regular basis as I am not also semi-retired. I also still operate Photo Shirts / Custom printed t-shirts, something I have been doing since 2003, and as any of my many, many happy
customers will attest to, do quite well.

40 Beautifully Restored Rare Trucks

Believe it or not, this 1964 Ford F-150 was originally used as a service truck for the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service. In that occupation, a truck can get pretty beat up. But the folks who handled this restoration job did some beautiful work. The engine was rebuilt, body work was completed and the F-150 was painted its original Forest Green. An interesting fact about the 1964 edition of the F-150 (as well as the 1963) is that the bed, MORE

What the $371 Million Monterey Auctions Mean for Car Collectors

Last month in Monterey, Calif., a 1962 Ferrari 250 GTO sold for $48.4 million. It was the highest auction price ever recorded for a single car. It’s a sale completely unrelatable for the vast majority of car lovers. But that doesn’t mean there aren’t practical lessons from the year’s biggest, most important sales. Anyone who wants to buy a classic or collectible car in the next 12 months should pay heed. Here are eight takeaways. General auction prices for good cars are fair, and sales are strong.By many accounts, this year’s Monterey auctions, MORE:

Audi PB18 e-Tron: A Gorgeous 760-HP Electric Shooting Brake Concept

Last month, Audi surprised us with the announcement of an electric supercar concept. Today during Monterey Car Week, we get our first look at the car, dubbed the PB18 E-Tron, and surprise, surprise, it's a stunning shooting brake.

Audi might be German, but the PB18 E-Tron concept was designed in America, at the brand's new Design Loft in Malibu, California. From the rear three-quarter vantage, it reminds us of another shooting brake, the Callaway Corvette Aerowagen, while the full-width taillight recalls the Bugatti Chiron. The two-piece side windows also bring the Lamborghini Countach and Subaru SVX to mind. MORE:

Donald Trump's car collection

Donald Trump’s name goes on almost everything he touches. Some products bearing his name aren’t total wastes of money, but those hardly make up for the bad business deals he’s made over the years. Donald Trump’s cars are probably the only things he owns that don’t bear his name. As President, Trump isn’t allowed to drive, but his car collection is very presidential. Like any good billionaire, Donald Trump has a pretty amazing car collection. His collection isn’t as extensive, MORE

755-horsepower C7 king - 2019 Corvette

It's here. After months of speculation, spy shots and fleeting public tests captured on video, the 2019 Chevy Corvette ZR1 is finally here. It looks vicious, like the already hot Z06 moonlighting as a GT3-spec Le Mans racer. The rear wing looks large enough for light aircraft duty and the front splitter could help ZR1 owners offer snow-plow service during the winter. The engine is so tall that the 755-horsepower supercharged 6.2-liter V8 literally pokes out of the hood. This is the ne plus ultra of any production car ever badged with a bowtie. MORE:

If you corvettes, you love this. Corvette find

Personalized t-shirts

The back story starts with - In 1989, VH1 gave away 36 vintage Corvettes in a contest. The winner sold those cars to artist Peter Max, who let them rot in a Brooklyn parking garage for twenty years. The cars recently disappeared. This is their story. Thanks to the smart work of Daniel McDermon over at the New York Times, we're finally piecing together a story that we had heard snippets of for years but never nailed down. In 1988, VH1 was struggling for ratings. As part of a publicity stunt, the music video network spent a truckload of money on 36 MORE:

Classic British car marque takes flight again with Bullet speedster

By Stu Robarts July 28, 2016: Storied British car marque Bristol has launched a new model to celebrate its 70th anniversary. The Bullet signals the rebirth of the brand after it was saved from insolvency five years ago, and recalls its heritage in aviation and luxury car production. Bristol Cars came into being in 1945 as the carmaking subsidiary of the Bristol Aeroplane Company. It has been producing cars since 1947, but the Bullet is its first since 2003, before it went into administration. The concept for the Bullet is said to have come about when the company's new owners found a neglected speedster model under a tarpaulin in the old factory. MORE:
